Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 8, 2026

Vlur ("we," "our," or "us") is a privacy camera application for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how Vlur handles information when you use our app. We built Vlur with a simple principle: your photos are yours, and they should stay on your device.

Summary

Vlur does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. All photo processing happens entirely on your device. We do not require an account, we do not use analytics, and we do not upload your photos to any server.

Information We Do Not Collect

Vlur is designed to operate without collecting personal information. We do not collect:

On-Device Processing

All detection and blurring of faces, license plates, house numbers, QR codes, and documents occurs locally on your iPhone using on-device machine learning. Your images are never sent to our servers or any third-party cloud service for processing. When you save or share a photo, that action uses the standard iOS share sheet and is handled by your device and the apps you choose — not by Vlur's servers.

Data Storage

Vlur does not maintain cloud storage for your content. Any photos you save are stored in your device's photo library or other locations you explicitly choose through iOS. We have no access to those files.

Third-Party Services

Vlur does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs. The app does not include social media integrations or external JavaScript libraries. Your purchase of Vlur is processed by Apple through the App Store; we do not receive your payment card details. Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

Vlur is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Because we do not collect personal data, no special provisions beyond this statement are required.

Permissions

Vlur requests access to your device's camera and photo library solely to provide its core functionality — capturing photos with live privacy blurring and saving or sharing edited images. These permissions are used only for on-device processing and are not used to transmit data to us or any third party.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
